Threading the needle & making straight stitches.

OK, this week we'll start with threading a needle and sewing by hand . To simplify, select a
needle that is thin but has a big enough eye to glide the thread through. The thread should be no longer than fourteen inches and end with a knot.
IT is easy to make your stitches straight and of the same length by starting with two tiny reinforcing stitches then inserting the needle 1/8in. deep in and out of the fabric without pulling the needle completely through until the it is full. continue like this until you have completed the seam, then end with two small reinforcing stitches.
Happy sewing,
Fatimah
