Making pants adjustments

The tip for today this is about making pants adjustments.

Pants should fit smoothly, should feel comfortable and should allow room for sitting and bending. If your pants have wrinkles while standing, that point upward from the crotch area then they're too tight and if the wrinkles points downward then the crouch is too loose.

For proper fit,Check and adjust the crotch depth before the crotch length. The depth is located on the outside from the waist line up to the crotch line. The crotch line is on the inside with the curved line from the waistline to the crotch line.

Threading the needle & making straight stitches.

OK, this week we'll start with threading a needle and sewing by hand . To simplify, select a
needle that is thin but has a big enough eye to glide the thread through. The thread should be no longer than fourteen inches and end with a knot.
IT is easy to make your stitches straight and of the same length by starting with two tiny reinforcing stitches then inserting the needle 1/8in. deep in and out of the fabric without pulling the needle completely through until the it is full. continue like this until you have completed the seam, then end with two small reinforcing stitches.
Happy sewing,
